HRMS Business Analyst
Responsible for maintaining functional knowledge of all modules in the HRMS system in order to assist users with questions and issues.
Assists in the implementation of new software, system upgrades and incorporating new modules and other enhancements to the computerized HR systems.
Develops understanding of relevant business processes in order to assist in designing enhancements, fixes and workarounds.
Assists with vendor selection for various HRMS applications.
Update and maintain user testing script information.
Responsible for scheduling and assisting with user testing.
Troubleshoot and document system issues.
Escalate issues to IS as appropriate.
Report issues to the vendor as appropriate and manage open cases.
Coordinate the implementation of fixes and workarounds.
Make changes to user security in order to maintain correct access and confidentiality of employee information.
Maintain system foundation tables.
Develops and presents group and individualized training for Human Resources personnel.
Assists with the communication of system changes to employees and managers.
Experience
Required:
Two years of experience with Human Resources Management Systems.
PeopleSoft or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database experience.
HR experience or knowledge.
Report generation experience.
Education/Licensure
Bachelors degree or strong systems background (5-7 years experience without degree) required.
Some formal education on relational databases preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge of PC utilization and database design, including Microsoft Office programs and report writing software.
Position requires strong skills in using a PC client-based system for report writing and analysis; excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong customer service skills required.
Experience troubleshooting user application software systems, ability to train users and write user oriented documentation.
Job requires above average verbal and written communication skills.
Prefer a general knowledge of HR laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, etc.)
