As a Database Administrator, you will manage and support the Oracle Production databases and related structures, ensuring full usability and integrity at all times. You will help to design and install upgrades to the database as well as developing unit and system testing to ensure they are fully reliable and working effectively. With efficient administration, youll resolve any performance issues, ensuring the integrity of our data.With a degree in software engineering or a related field and a track record in database administration, it will be your job to resolve any issues and ensure the system is organised and works efficiently. You should have experience of working with Oracle DBA systems, as well as Oracle 8i, Oracle 9i, Win NT 4.0 or Win Servers, and a logical approach to problem solving and time management.
You should have excellent management skills to efficiently run the branch as well as first rate financial ability to help you set departmental budgets and forecast any funding requirements. You will also need excellent analytical and problem solving skills to continually improve the branch processes and the ability to lead a successful team of motivated employees.
