Position Summary:
Our client is specialty orthopedic practice located in central Nebraska. We are currently searching for a dynamic Practice Administrator to provide leadership and oversight of the daily practice operations and assurance that the clinical policies, procedures and protocols provide for exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees efforts for recruitment, Staff development and evaluation of employees and physicians.
- Oversees the business and financial affairs of the physician practice and fiscal management, as well as, managing the physician practice front end billing and collection processes/department.
- Ensures physician practice compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations, programs, physical properties. Initiates appropriate changes.
- Encourages community education by initiation participation in health fairs and events to promote awareness. Responsible for managing the overall marketing activities of the practice
- Represents the physician practice and serves as liaison and channel of communication between the hospitals, health plans, insurance companies, regulatory bodies, other health organizations and government agencies.
- Participates in all practice managed care relationships, including monitoring of related reimbursement, negotiation with third party payers, provider credentialing, and maintenance of contracts.
- Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or other related field. Master’s degree a plus.
· Minimum 7 years healthcare management experience which includes experience with physician practice operations, financial/budgeting, and business/strategic planning for a physician practice.
· Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems and health care administration practices.
· Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements.
· Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
