Functions with initiative and appropriate independent judgment. Assists with the development, interpretation and application of departmental policies, budgets, and long-range plans. Responsible for managing departmental activities, technical staff, and ancillary personnel.
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Physical/Chemical Science or Medical Technology with approved certification. At least eight (8) years supervisory experience. Familiar with all aspects of departmental policy and administration procedures. An advanced degree in management and computer experience is desirable. Possesses such capabilities as determined to be adequate by the Departmental Chair (or designee) and Hospital Administrator.
