Purpose
This position is responsible for ongoing analysis of information, obtained from a variety of sources. It requires proficiency with analytical tools (SPSS), knowledge of data analysis methodology, use of presentation software.
Accountabilities
1. Effective development of well written, accurate programs and methodologies to analyze and extract information, while maintaining well-organized, documented data files.
2. Accurate evaluation of child welfare programs and interpretation of data in reference to national child welfare benchmarks.
3. Consistent interpretation of data and suggestions for program improvements.
4. Timely and accurate extraction and analysis of information from multiple database systems.
5. Timely and accurate preparation of dashboard reports and presentation of data to both internal and external stakeholders.
6. Contribution of documentation and improvement in service delivery.
7. Contribution to coordinated, effective, and efficient team work.
Essential Functions of the Position and Performance Standards
1. Works with staff to develop and understand product specifications.
2. Develops appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products.
3. Delivers data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to customer specifications and timelines.
4. Use KaleidaCare to perform CQI tasks.
5. Data management/information analysis: Analyze data and information to identify trends and practices at Visinet.
6. Design and maintain systems for data analyses, including development of databases; monitor the collection, storing, cleaning and dissemination of data; identify and resolve discrepancies by contacting sources of information.
7. Prepare raw data to allow examination of patterns and trends. Ensure that changes to data files, databases and forms used to obtain data are kept current, while maintaining integrity and confidentiality of data.
8. Plan, implement and coordinate systems designed to monitor collection, analysis, and dissemination of data.
9. Use data to identify CQI trends including utilization management.
10. Review and evaluate data monitoring and handling systems to determine consistency of data collected from various sources; recommend changes and modification to systems as required to ensure timeliness, accuracy and efficiency.
11. Participate in the preparation of written reports and oral presentations that summarize the analysis of data, interpret the findings and provide conclusions and recommendations.

Job Specifications and Work Requirements
Education:
Required: Master's degree in a research or evaluation field of study. Advanced course work in research design, statistical operations and data analysis techniques.
Experience:
Required: Three (3) years experience in related field. Proficiency using Microsoft Office and SPSS. A minimum of two years of applied research experience using SPSS in a social services environment.
Desired: N-Focus experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Clear Criminal History Background and Adult/Child Abuse checks, as well as all program specific certifications. All Visinet training applicable to the position.
Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: High level knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel,SPSS etc.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated experience and expertise with SPSS programming language required. Experience working and managing a variety of information systems and data files. Experience with database analysis desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Understanding of CSFR objectives.
Working Conditions: Basic controlled environment in office setting.
