Driver Recruiter   POSITION PURPOSE

Implements company driver recruitment activities, seeks out, interviews, screens and recruits over the road driver job applicants, recent driving school graduates or applicants for CDL training, to fill existing company job openings.

JOB FUNCTIONS

·        Interview applicants via phone to obtain work history, education, training and job skills. ·        Selects acceptable candidates in accordance with company and DOT standards. ·        Ensures necessary criteria have been met for employment records. ·        Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. ·        Continuous assessment of TQM concepts and process improvement initiatives.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

·        Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma. ·        Six months to one year experience in recruiting, sales, or related area. ·        Good written and oral communication skills. ·        Good interpersonal skills. ·        Use of copier, fax, computer and modem required.
