Position Description
Senior Equipment Planner to join our Federal Group in Alexandria, VA. Responsible for consulting, programming, planning and coordinating the medical equipment needs of healthcare projects (for Federal clients) and will identify possible solutions affecting all areas of medical treatment and processes. Will independently collect data with the Owners agreement that affect all areas of the design process. Facilitates meetings with assigned facility staff and the design team in determining appropriate equipment and placement of equipment in the project. Senior Planner is responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products. Should develop an area of expertise and become the go to Planner in that area. Writing articles and participating in speaking engagements should be done on a regular basis. Should mentor Equipment Planners and act as a Project Manager overseeing Equipment Planning proposals and budgets. May direct the activities of other equipment planning professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members.

Experience in DOD equipment database software (SEPS II) program is desirable.

Individuals with a clinical background involving Nursing, Purchasing, Bio-Medical Engineering or other Clinical specialties will be given strong consideration.

Significant understanding of medical equipment and the hospital environment.

Proven ability to interact professionally with healthcare clients and design team members.

Knowledge of current Medical Equipment technology.

Excellent customer service skills to develop and maintain relationships.

Microsoft Office experience.

(Word, Excel, Access).

Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
