Position Description
The Assistant Nurse Anesthesia Program Administrator will support the Nurse Anesthesia Program Administrator. This is in accordance with COA Standards for Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs (Standard 1 A5). Duties include teaching in their discipline, acting as department leadership when needed, collaboration with program faculty and advisement of students in compliance with established college policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include supporting and involvement in governance and development or recommendations regarding scheduling, staffing, instructional program planning, resource allocation, and facility use. Master's degree in nursing required, practice or research based doctorate preferred. Licensed as an RN in the State of Nebraska or current compact state required. Current certification as a nurse anesthetist required. Experience in a clinical Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist role preferred. Knowledge of and commitment to the college mission required. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to teach graduate level nursing courses Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all stakeholders of the program required. Ability to assist with providing effective direction of an assigned program and/or facility.
