Job Summary
**Hybrid work - Incumbent must work three days each week in the Omaha, NE office**
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester who will work in an agile team to create and execute manual risk based test plans for solutions. You will be responsible for all forms of manual testing for our business solutions to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality solutions. Within this role you will work collaboratively with development teams, business teammates and other quality assurance testers to maximize the effectiveness of test plans and to improve quality across products and services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create/Execute manual testing suites to promote confidence in solutions
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for larger multi-component products across multiple resources and parallel development tracks.
- Analyze business requirements and design documents for completeness and testability to mitigate risks.
- Perform and coordinate test validation activities using manual testing techniques and concepts.
- Identify and track defects, perform root cause analysis and collaborate with technology teams to resolve issues
- Document and perform appropriate end-to-end scenario testing. Help ensure data quality within the solution to maximize accurate and consistent delivery and appropriate process control measurement.
- Assist Quality Assurance Engineers (QAE) in determining automation test case candidates.
- Assist in creating business scenarios using selected toolsets developed by QAE teammates.
- Serve as a champion for quality assurance practices.
- Provide expertise and support on key initiatives for the quality and correctness of solutions.
- Champion testability and quality assurance best practices across technology teams.
- Collaborate with teams to consult on the implementation of testing strategies and the creation of testing plans for solutions.
- Contribute to the development of quality assurance guidance and testing.
- Maximize test efficiency and effectiveness through risk based test strategies.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Business, Finance, Software Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or another relevant field required
Years of Experience
- 2 + years of experience in Experiences with quality assurance strategies, test planning and design
Certification and Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance concepts and methodologies
- Create, execute, and maintain functional and regression test suites
- Report, track, and help determine priorities for enhancements and defects
- Develop test cases from technical specifications and business requirements
- Create and maintain test cases and data sets required for test plans
- Execute test cases capturing detailed documentation of test execution
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and validate defect fixes
- Effectively communicate testing status and test results in both verbal and written forms
- Work with project team to ensure adequate test coverage
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to arrive at solutions
- Manage deadlines and deliverables, completing testing in allocated timelines and delivering results under pressure
- Knowledge of test automation techniques and practices and how they contribute to test plans
