Summer Intern Early Childhood Education Associate

The Summer Intern Child Care Associate will be responsible for operating a developmentally appropriate early childhood education classroom in cooperation with other Associates and Lead Associates.

• Assist in the implementation of activities for individual and/or groups of children within a specified age range, working within a childcare center, classroom or field environment.
• Ensuring children's portfolio and other standards are up to date through communication and conferences are met.
• Support classrooms and to cover and work with a variety of ages.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks of the center, proper use and clean-up of equipment and areas, including laundry tasks, kitchen cleanup, storing of equipment and playground

• Must be a student in an education academy at your local high school or community college. 
• Must pass pre-employment criminal background check. 
• Specialty licensure/certification is required, as specified by the Iowa DHS Child Care Licensing Regulations
• Must have a letter of recommendation from your high school or college professor in order to apply.
