- Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Endovascular position at a hospital in South Carolina, requiring a background in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR and an active SC or compact RN license.Details
  - Neuro Endovascular procedural specialty unit within an acute care hospital setting
  - Cases include large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke interventions and cerebral aneurysm repairs performed with an endovascular-trained neurologist
  - This is a newly opening department seeking experienced staff to help establish the unit
  - Day shift: 08:00-16:30
  - On-call required every other week
  - 13-week contractRequirements
    - Active SC or multistate compact RN license required
    - BLS and ACLS certifications required - American Heart Association (AHA) only
    - Moderate sedation training required
    - Experience in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR circulator role is mandatory
    - ICU experience preferredAdditional Information
      - Responsibilities include procedural nursing care such as sheath removal, contrast injector operation, procedural aseptic scrubbing/technique, and point-of-care testing
      - Operates physiological monitoring systems and other patient equipment used within the procedure suite
      - Performs pre- and post-procedure care, documentation, and patient education
      - Administers moderate sedation and manages medications including blood and blood products per policy
      - Participates in code management including crash cart, rapid response, and end-of-life protocols
      - Upholds patient safety initiatives including universal protocol, time-outs, and proper patient identificationAmerican Traveler Job ID .
